Quartered

The painting is based on my experience of diving the wreck of a small boat that broke up as it sank. 'Quarter Wreck' lies in the waters off Grenada, West Indies. I played with the abstracted shapes, but the composition is based on a small section of the wreck as the sea water eats away at it.  It was painted as a quiet release from Covid-19 lockdown tensions.
